Petra joined the firm in 2007. She was originally employed as a Personal Assistant to Richard Roberts, after relocating from London to the Lake District.
During her time with Gedye & Sons Petra has had a varied and wide ranging role. Whilst working full-time, she has been steadily promoted through the firm. Petra first studied with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and qualified as a Fellow in July 2015. She then continued her studies and qualified as a Solicitor on 1st September 2017.
Petra deals with Wills, Estate Administration, Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Court of Protection work: Lasting Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Deputyships. She is a Member of the Solicitors for the Elderly, the professional body which regulates solicitors to provide the highest standards of care, specifically to elderly and vulnerable people.
Petra is a keen animal lover and has a special interest in animal law and welfare issues. She is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Animal Welfare and volunteers with the RSPCA as a Wildlife Animal Collection Officer.
Petra is based predominately in the Lake District Office, but also handles work emanating from our busy London office.
In her spare time Petra enjoys outdoor sports, reading and travel.
