Born and raised in Cumbria, she obtained a degree in Sociology from the University of York before continuing on to obtain her Law degree from the York College of Law.

Following university Emma worked in both private practice and local government, undertaking her legal training at a firm in the Yorkshire Dales. She qualified in May 2015.

Now resident near Kendal she counts travel (particularly US road trips and the Scottish Highlands), Lake District walks and a really good ‘gastropub’ amongst her interests!
