Petra is an experienced private client lawyer and handles all aspects of private client work including wills, trusts, probate and estate and tax planning.
She has a breadth of experience in mental capacity issues, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work. She regularly advises attorneys and deputies on issues relating to the provision of care for vulnerable people. She is a full professional accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
She has a special interest in charity law and often advises local charities, social enterprises and individuals on a range of issues. She is a full professional member of the Charity Association.
Petra is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is currently undertaking her STEP Diploma.
As an animal lover, Petra is keenly interested in all aspects of animal law and welfare issues in the UK and abroad. She is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Animal Welfare and volunteers with animal charities in her spare time.
Petra has been with the firm since April 2007 after relocating from London to the Lake District.
