This role sits within the Private Client team which delivers a full range of
legal services including drafting of wills and lasting powers of attorney,
document preparation, probate and estate administration.

As a Private Client Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting the
lawyers within the department generally, to include:

  • Drafting correspondence and documents ensuring they are accurate
    and meet our clients’ requirements
  • Using the firm’s case management system (training will be provided)
  • Coordinating and attending meetings, taking instructions and notes
    and liaising with clients where appropriate
  • Researching laws and regulations
  • Liaising with other professionals such as financial advisors and
    accountants
  • Reviewing client documents
  • Ensuring compliance responsibilities are adhered to

Key Skills Required:

  • A strong academic background (degree in Law preferable but not
    essential)
  • Experience working in the legal sector, preferably with regular client
    contact
  • Interest in private client work and specifically wills, estates and
    probate
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of
    people
  • Ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Committed team player, self -motivated and professional
