This role sits within the Private Client team which delivers a full range of
legal services including drafting of wills and lasting powers of attorney,
document preparation, probate and estate administration.
As a Private Client Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting the
lawyers within the department generally, to include:
- Drafting correspondence and documents ensuring they are accurate
and meet our clients’ requirements - Using the firm’s case management system (training will be provided)
- Coordinating and attending meetings, taking instructions and notes
and liaising with clients where appropriate - Researching laws and regulations
- Liaising with other professionals such as financial advisors and
accountants - Reviewing client documents
- Ensuring compliance responsibilities are adhered to
Key Skills Required:
- A strong academic background (degree in Law preferable but not
essential) - Experience working in the legal sector, preferably with regular client
contact - Interest in private client work and specifically wills, estates and
probate - Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of
people - Ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
- Impeccable attention to detail
